In 2021, the Mobile World Congress team commissioned Philip Stanton Studio with the creation of 8 large scale sculpture pieces, which would be installed at Fira Barcelona Gran Vía. MCW 2021 focused on the message: "Welcome back to Barcelona, Welcome back to MWC!", after the event's abrupt cancellation in 2020 due to COVID-19.
